Find the Best Option for me
No coverage yet, or want a base closer to your operations?
We can help you to expand the network where you need it, and get rewarded.

What is required to extend the GEODNET coverage:
-
Antenna: GNSS signals are easily affected by surroundings. The antenna should have an open-sky view with no obstructions. Trees, buildings, or reflections will reduce signal quality.
-
Base Station: The base unit should be placed in a warm, dry space. In Canada, that means indoors or in a heated enclosure during winter. A new base station is affordable, around $1,000 CAD.
-
Power: The station plugs in with a simple USB-C cable (like a phone). It uses very little electricity (<2 W), costing only a few dollars per year. Continuous power is essential.
-
Internet (WiFi): A stable internet connection is needed. The base streams GNSS (GPS) observation data in real time at about 10–20 kbit/s (≈10–20 GB per month). Think of it like a small, steady trickle of water: always flowing, but hardly noticeable on any normal internet plan.
